Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Packtopus ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Packtopus is an AI-powered travel packing application that helps users create packing lists, track luggage weight, plan daily outfits, and receive AI travel advice. The Service is offered in two tiers: Free and Pro.

3. Account registration

You must provide a valid email address and maintain the security of your password. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Packtopus.

4. Free and Pro plans

  • Free plan: Includes 1 AI-generated trip, unlimited manual packing lists, weight tracker, and outfit planner.
  • Pro plan: Includes unlimited AI trips, automatic AI weight estimation, and AI Travel Chat, billed monthly at $2.99/month.

We reserve the right to modify plan features or pricing with reasonable notice.

5. Payments and cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again, and you retain Pro access until the period ends.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI features.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to interfere with the Service.

7. AI-generated content

Packing lists and travel advice generated by Packtopus AI are suggestions only. We make no guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific trip. Always verify travel requirements (visas, vaccinations, airline rules) through official sources.

8. Intellectual property

The Packtopus name, logo, and application code are our intellectual property. Your packing list data remains yours — we do not claim ownership over content you create.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Packtopus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed flights or travel issues resulting from reliance on AI-generated packing advice.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes by email.
